Earlier this month, Late Show host Stephen Colbert made a homophobic joke about Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin on live television.

Now, this has come back to bite him in a big way.

Independent Journal Review reported that Colbert said that Trump’s mouth is only good for performing a sex act on Putin.

Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai said afterwards that his commission would be investigating Colbert’s show since they had received complaints.

This week, IJ Review sent a Freedom of Information Act request to the FCC, and they just got their response today.

The results of the investigation were particularly bad for Colbert…

“We located over 5,700 complaints regarding the above program,” read the response letter. “We are providing 100 samples of the complaints we located.”

This shows Colbert that a large number of Americans thought what he did was wrong. SHARE this story if you think he owes Trump an apology!
