The days of Democrat waste are coming to a close, and all of the fraudsters and illegals are being routed out.

A federal court has sentenced a Mexican citizen, Raul Carlos Monarca-Gonzalez, to 30 months in jail and three years of mandatory parole for his role in a massive scheme to defraud the food stamp program. (via Breitbart)

The Mexican national was convicted and sentenced for conspiracy to commit food stamp fraud and unlawful use of food stamps.

Monarca-Gonzalez also faces deportation proceedings at the conclusion of his stay in prison.

WB Trade Fair Grocery in Connecticut employed the illegal alien and others who would allow customers to exchange their food stamps for cash illegally. The scheme was conducted between November 2014 and June 2016.

Investigators became suspicious after the grocery store attempted to redeem around $3.2 million in food stamp purchases over the course of 18 months. Investigators assumed the store would have claimed $240,000 at most if they were operating legally.

U.S. attorneys say that Monarca-Gonzalez will be forced to pay back $1.5 million to the state in restitution.

However, it is more than optimistic to assume that the money will ever be paid back. Food stamp fraud is running rampant in our cities and is costing the taxpayers billions each year.

This store is just the tip of the iceberg of welfare fraud. Stores can easily act like an ATM for food stamps where they generate pure profit for their effort to defraud the government. This scheme ran for almost two years before they were caught.

If we want to get serious in cracking down on food stamp fraud, then we need to go after the welfare recipients who abuse the system as well as the stores that let them. All people on food stamps know the money is supposed to be used on food. If they search out stores that allow them to redeem cash for their benefits, they should be kicked off all welfare.

As an illegal alien, Monarca-Gonzalez felt no obligation to the American government or to taxpayers whose money he stole, since he didn’t pay taxes.

We have 30 months to build the wall so by the time Monarca-Gonzalez is deported, he cannot simply walk back in.
